Building and Construction

Glassfibre reinforced plastics (GRP) are used to manufacture meter boxes, underground junction boxes, drainage channels and manhole covers.

In the house building sector, GRP composites are used for doors, roof and ceiling tiles, flat roofing laminates, canopies, dormers and balconies, garage doors, decorative cornices & pillars and other architectural finishes.

Even complete pre-fabricated composite houses have been built for emergency/temporary housing needs. Modular pre-fabrication also enables a high level of insulation to be built into the structure.
The use of fibreglass composites for these applications provides for a much faster installation and, due to the reduced weight, manual handling issues are reduced.
