Key Account Manager (India)

Your mission

As a member of the Sales & Marketing organisation reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director for India, you lead, promote and sell Glass Fibre Re-enforcement for composite applications. You adopt good marketing approaches and ensure organisational goal is achieved with a strong focus on customer needs. This position is based in Mumbaï and involves frequent travelling across India and abroad.

Your profile

  • Education: Graduate / Post Graduate in Mechanical / Production / Chemical/ Polymer/ Composite Engineering from reputed institute with good academics. 
  • Experience: 10-12 years in Sales, preferably in Glass Fibre / Composite / Chemical / Allied industry such as Additives / Fire Retardant / Accelerators, / Catalyst/ Resin serving in Industry
  • Languages: English and Hindi are required (any other regional language is a plus)
  • Behavioural competencies: ability to develop strong personal relations, both internally and externally, Team player, lead business performance strategist., Good presentation and communication skills, willingness to learn and listen, open for extensive travel across India/abroad within a short notice.

Your core competencies

  • Good understanding of the glass fibre market (size and volume).
  • Ability to identify., initiate and drive business development programmes.
  • Ability to draw up sales, marketing strategies, sales promotions.
  • Strong technical background on composites would be an asset..
  • Strong product and process knowledge of glass fibre and polymers.
  • Good understanding of customers’ processes and applications.
  • Analytics and quality problem solving tools and techniques.

Your role and responsibilities

Sales Activity, Approach and Execution, ensuring the sale process from start to finish. 
Related activities:

  • Map all functional segment across India, with their process and volumes.
  • Develop long-term sales plans and strategy.
  • Negotiate prices, terms and conditions; adjust them if required.
  • Ensure quotation and follow-up for (future) projects.
  • Monitor and report sales activities.
  • Promote 3B awareness.
  • Work in close collaboration with all teams including plant. 
  • Aim at meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Sales area management: Must maintains and develops short and long-term strategic business relationships with a given portfolio for all customers. 
Related activities:

  • Identify, search and contact prospective customers.
  • Visit existing and new customers.
  • Make the accurate assessment of Customer needs and Report.
  • Build positive, healthy and long-lasting relationships.
  • Offer proper package (product, pricing, quantity and strategy). 
  • Collaborate closely with all teams members including Plant.
  • Provide support to ensure customer receive high quality service.
  • Report customers’ feedback.
  • Coordinate activities of all functions in direct contact with customers in order to provide consistent services.
  • Attend customer complaints and resolve on priority. 

Business Intelligence and technical support: Must ensures B.I activities and work with technical teams as he/she is the first Person to receive customers’ feedback. 
Related activities:

  • Refer information on competitors activities.
  • Possess detailed product knowledge.
  • Work in close collaboration with marketing team members and plant people on serious technical issues and for further demands (e.g: Product and application Development).
  • Contribute to 3B's ability to respond to changing market conditions, customer demand and competition.
